Cockatoo, Victoria 3781

Things to Do
There is always so much to do in Cockatoo, with many walking trails available for public use.
Why not drive to Emerald, hop on board Puffing Billy for the scenic ride out to Cockatoo. Visit the shopping precinct, visit Alma Treloar reserve and the Cockatoo Creek Area and see what our beautiful township has to offer.
Near the entry to Alma Treloar Reserve is the beginning of the walking tracks through Wrights forest which will lead you back to Emerald.
In time we will also have our Ash Wednesday Memorial Building completed which will house some local history as well as provide education regarding the tragic events of Ash Wednesday, not only for Cockatoo but for the whole state of Victoria. When completed this area will have Picnic & Barbecue facilities for public use.
There is also discussion with Puffing Billy for the re-creation of our original station buildings, so hopefully in time this station area will be developed. But as they say, all good things take time.
In the mean time, come visit us and see the natural beauty that is Cockatoo....A great place to visit, a better place to live.
